bio
Kama Wybieralska is a lighting and product designer. She received her Master's degree in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons, the New School for Design in New York, and a bachelor degree in Product Design and Visual Communication from the University of Arts in Warsaw. Kama brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from these fields.
In New York, she has worked with renowned design companies such as L’observatoire International and Richard Meier Light, where she honed her skills and gained valuable industry experience. While working at L’observatoire Intl, she developed lighting concepts for various projects of architectural offices such as OMA, Foster+Partners, Grimshaw Architects, Citterio and Viel, etc. At Richard Meier Light, she worked as a product designer, working at implementing the first product line to production that started the brand. After three years spent in NYC, Kama returned to Poland to establish her own lighting design practice, aureola studio, and light objects brand.
Kama has a keen eye for detail and loves playing with light, various materials and their properties. Her works are often influenced by nature and cityscapes, some of them play with perception by creating optical illusions.
